The Art of Hosting training on Brighton at the beginning of March was a great success and there was a real desire to take the energy and momentum ignited during our three days together.
As a lot of the participants on the initial training were from Brighton, it seemed like a natural progression to begin forming a community of practice to explore what we can do together to further our investigations into the calling question, ‘How do we build communities and businesses where everyone can lead, to create a city where everyone feels that they matter and belong?’ On 31st March a group of 10 of us met up again at the ONCA Gallery in Brighton. The training at the beginning of the month had been intense. The weeks in between had given people a chance to reflect and process some of what they had experienced and think about what was feeling alive in them right now. Emma and Sarah kindly stepped up to plan and host the event. After checking in with our personal reflections on where we were at right now, we were invited into the Open Space session which was to be the main focus of the meet up. It was great to see the excitement and enthusiasm that had carried over the past few weeks within the group, and it will be exciting to see what future collaborations and projects will emerge over the next few months. |
