The Team
We are a group of experienced Art of Hosting trainers and practitioners, who have been either teaching and/or applying participatory leadership in the UK, Scandinavia, Mainland Europe and beyond.
Max St John I am a founder, entrepreneur and a father, finding my way in work and life. I've run businesses, consulted for government departments and taught at business schools in the UK, Switzerland and The Netherlands. I work with individuals and organisations, supporting leaders to develop more participative and liberating approaches to work.

James EdeI am a gardener, teacher, musician and world citizen. I am a geek when it comes to living systems. I specialise in hosting the groundwork for meetings and events ranging from international multi-stakeholder dialogues and conferences, to professional workshops and trainings within organisations and local community projects.

Charlie PeverettI am a communications strategist with a love of purposeful work, storytelling and finding deeper connections. I’m drawn to the Art of Hosting by the possibilities for collaborating with each other in wiser ways. Working with brand agency Neo has enabled me to work with organisations, in the UK and internationally, to help them find what matters and to make it matter more.

Linda Joy MitchellI am a process artist, crafting and hosting meetings, retreats, trainings and spaces for collective and whole system transformation. A collaborator at heart, a connector of people and ideas, a teacher of living systems and citizen engagement, I bring a therapeutic and systemic lens to my coaching and mentoring work. I co steward the Art of Hosting globally and have practiced my hosting and design work both within the EU institutions and within many social change and activist movements.
Sarah HopkinsI love learning, exploring and nudging the edges of what feels comfortable. I value kindness, openness, honesty and not knowing. Dancing makes me happy. Having grown up between South Africa, France and England, I felt an anthropologist long before I studied it at university. I have lived, worked and learned across Europe, South America and Africa. I work with charities, community projects and support young people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health needs. Above all else, what matters most to me is how I relate to myself, others and the world.

Marcus PibworthI’m a graphic facilitator and graphic recorder based in Brighton, my partner and one half of the graphic facilitation company called M.I.Scribe. I’m interested in how we can work collectively and harness collective knowledge, which is what initially drew me towards graphic facilitation and the world of Art of Hosting. I work with a number of different organisations including corporates, charities and community groups as well as running workshops on visual storytelling and sketchnoting.
